Hope And Despair

When I started this painting, Gaza was still intact, in a manner of speaking. Since then, the struggle has taken on a new meaning. Thousands dead or displaced many children were orphaned, many women have become childless. Still in the darkness of despair, the soul dares to hope, for its light to shine in the name of humanity. I wanted to paint their despair. But the canvas kept crying out for hope.
