I was a very narrow creature at heart–
— until you came,
None got in and out of me with ease,
Yet when you spoke my name…
I was unbounded, like the world.
I never felt such fear as then,
Being so limitless, so infinite,
When I’d only known whisperings.
I fled you foolishly.
Searching for a place to hide,

I hid in a bud,…it blossomed wide.
I scampered into a cloud,…it rained.
I scurried into a bird who spread its wings,
And I fell, in full view of you.
I hid in a star that burnt out
And bored me out into your arms–
You’re just a moon that circles,
Fixedly around my existence.
A moon that draws me in,
Like a breadth eager to live,
Just a moon that reads me,
Playing with my thoughts,
Exposing all my dreams.
I, like a moth to a flame,
Drift into your heavenly glow
As the dark clouds part to take me into you…
Unbounded and free.
