I hold my breadth in expectant longing
Hearts a’ pounding, ever expanding
I stare, the horizon probing
Fearful to blink and miss your arriving
I sit inert, while my souls a’ yearning
The turfs a’ gasping, clouds a’ swelling
Rain yet holding, the glumness prevailing
The air a bull frog, panting, heaving
The breeze reduced to lulling, hushing,
Till we meet again.
